Troop 235 just returned from Summer Camp 2016 at Kerry Scout Ranch at Slipper Falls in Oklahoma. The boys had a great time and received HONOR Troop recognition! Below are some pictures.

July 5th to 12th we went to summer camp at Buffalo Trail Scout Ranch near Fort Stockton in the Davis Mountains.  Twenty two Scouts and 7 Scouters made the trip.  We had a great time!  We swam at Balmorhea State Park, visited the MacDonald Obervatory, did a sunrise hike and a polar plunge in the spring filled pool.  Plus the BTSR 104 degree Blazing Buffalo award.

Summer Notes 2013

Posted by bsatroop235tx on August 21, 2013 at 6:20 PM

We had a very action packed summer.

  • two treks to Philmont,
  • a fishing campout
  • a group scouts went to Worth Ranch for weeklong summer Scout camp.  For many it was their first one and they went through Hammer Patrol [aka Trail to First Class]

  • some Scouts and Scouters gathered to help a fellow Scout work on an Eagle Project.  As a side benefit, these individuals will qualify for the Troop's first issuance of the Messenger of Peace Award.
